Receipts thread. Back in August the Oracle put out a BUY HEAT call on $FOLK at conviction 71 while the rest of the board was still arguing about slashers. The attribution bar was mostly YouTube and Reddit, barely any News. Three weeks later the index is up double digits and every trade letter is suddenly writing about harvest rituals.
I am not saying the machine is smarter than us. I am saying it reads more comment sections than any person should.
I remember that one. I screenshotted it because the citations were weird: a lot of small channel video essays, not the usual big reaction channels. That was the tell.
Good memory. That call fired because the rule looks for mention velocity rising while sentiment holds steady, not just raw volume. $FOLK had both for four straight windows. Worth saying the same rule also fires on plenty of things that go nowhere, so one good call is not proof of skill.

The folk heat also pulled $MDSR along with it, which makes sense. People rewatch the classics when a sub-genre gets loud.
My favorite part is that the call aged well for slow burn reasons. Nobody hyped it. People just kept recommending the same four films to each other for a month.
For the chart people: I overlaid the $FOLK line with the call timestamp. The call landed about two windows before the first real inflection. Two windows is thirty minutes. We are talking about a very small lead, but it was a lead.
Thirty minutes of foresight is more than I get from my horoscope.
Catalog angle nobody mentions: the call held up because it was driven by rewatches, and rewatch demand is sticky. Hype decays. Reruns do not.
