Is Reddit weighted too heavily? Half the attribution bars are orange

   Scroll the Oracle page and count the attribution bars. On most calls Reddit is the widest band by a lot. Reddit is a loud room, but it is one room. Are we building a market terminal or a subreddit mood ring?

   Worth separating two things. The source weights are fixed and published on Method, and Reddit is not the top weight. It shows up widest because it produces the most rows every fifteen minutes. More rows, wider band. The bar shows contribution, not the weight setting.

   From the trade side: news is slow and repetitive. One announcement gets rewritten by thirty outlets. If CRYPT deduped less, News would dominate instead, and it would mostly be echoes. Reddit at least is people saying things in their own words.

   Reddit is also where the audio horror and creepypasta people live. If you downweight it, whole corners of the genre vanish from the terminal.

   This is the real argument. Reddit weight is high because the horror audience is actually there. The question is whether it represents theatrical audiences, which it probably does not.

   It does not. Opening weekend crowds are much broader than any forum. That is why I only trust calls with a real box office band on them.

   All fair. What we can do honestly: we are testing a per-source cap so no single source contributes more than a set share of any call. It lowers the hit rate slightly on creator tickers and raises it slightly on wide releases in backtests. We will publish both numbers before we flip it.
