Hi all. I make an analog horror series on a thrift store camcorder. My channel showed up in the creator metrics preview and now I refresh it more than I refresh my own uploads. Three questions:
1. What does 'audience heat' actually mean for a channel my size? 2. My sentiment is high but my volume is tiny. Is that good, or is it a rounding error? 3. Should I worry that my heat dropped the week I did not upload?

1. Heat blends how much people talk about you with how they feel about it, weighted toward recent activity. For a small channel, read it against your own history, not against the big tickers. 2. High sentiment on low volume is the healthiest early shape there is. It means the people who find you like you. Volume is the part that grows. 3. A dip in a no-upload week is expected. Recency weighting means quiet weeks cool off. Look at the four week trend, not the single week.

Practical tip: export your line weekly and plot it yourself. Seeing it zoomed out removes a lot of the drama. Refreshing a small line every hour is like weighing yourself every hour.
Also: the thing that matters most for series creators is whether new entries lift the floor. If your quiet weeks sit higher after each upload, you are building.
